Perfect mix of culture and wildlife.

Highly recommend! Perfect mix of activities to get a great overview of all Costa Rica has to offer. We learned about their culture, wildlife, flora and fauna through a hike in the rainforest, tour of banana and cacao plantations, and a river cruise. Nuvia, our guide was exceptional in her knowledge and enthusiasm. Alex was a very competent and careful driver. We got great pictures of the sloths and monkeys!

Nicest tour guide

Our tour guide, Kim, was pleasant and informative. She kept us on schedule and made sure we saw everything included in our tour. I didn't know a tour guide could be so nice. When we were in the national park, Kim shared with other tour guides the best places to view animals. Some other tour guides we passed didn't say anything and looked like they didn't want to be bothered. One of the travelers on our tour had trouble walking and Kim was very accommodating. We traveled in an air conditioned van with free wifi. Our driver Fabian, made sure we arrived safely but quickly. I loved being on a small tour with only 4 people. Kim made sure to deliver us back to our cruise ship half an hour before boarding. We were happy to have such a great experience and we'll definitely book again with our next tour along our cruise.

Fabulous Experience

This was a wonderful tour! We easily met the guide and driver at the port and headed for Bribri, which took about 75 minutes. Our guide Anna was very engaging and knowledgeable about her country’s history, culture, resources, plants and animals, etc. Johnny was an excellent driver. At Bribri we learned how they traditionally used native plants and trees, and participated with the family in making hot chocolate- starting with cacao beans. Delicious! They sell handcrafted items and there are restrooms on site. Then we moved on to Cahuita National Park where amongst the many trees and vegetation we saw sloths, monkeys, a snake, birds etc. Anna has a wealth of information about all flora and fauna. The beach is lovely! And there are restrooms. Our last stop was at a store for delicious fruit and coffee samples. They had souvenirs and bathrooms as well. We arrived back at our ship with time to spare.
